A much improved hotel in a excellent location. I had seen newspaper articles and adverts for The Links Hotel and was interested to find out more about the changes that were taking place under the new ownership and management. I live locally and thought it may be an excellent place for friends and relatives to stay when they visit.

It is an impressive building and is unusual in design, making it a well known landmark in the area. The receptionist was very welcoming and asked me to take a seat while she let the manager know that I would like be shown around the hotel. The manager was very informative and enthusiastic and explained the modernisation and redecoration project that was under-way.

The bar and dining room had been very tastefully decorated whilst still retaining some of the original features and character. The bedrooms are all being refurbished in a similar style with modern fitted furniture, light decor and flat screen TV's. Some have wonderful views over the surrounding countryside to the sea beyond. Others are situated around a pleasant courtyard garden.

The hotel has an inviting pool and leisure area. There is a golf course with a club house, which was buzzing with activity and was obviously a great meeting place for regular golfers and holiday guests alike. The club house has a bar and serves meals at lunch times.

Stayed here twice. The location is very quiet with little passing traffic, Sandy Lane being a minor ( C ) road. Our room, which looked out over the Common, was newly decorated and had a new carpet. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good. We weren't able to use the pool ( redecorations), but previous usage was fine - nice temperature and ( crucially for me) very clean.

Food was good ( we only had breakfast). Overall a nice place to stay.

Beautiful accommodation, overlooking golf course and garden, large family room with more than adequate space for 2 adults and 3 children. Very clean and staff most polite and helpful, children really enjoyed swimming pool, we had it all to ourselves. Would highly recommend.

Excellent recently refurbished family room is this lovely hotel. We've been visiting, on and off, for several years and were very impressed with the renovations and improvements to the hotel. The room suited our needs perfectly, the food was excellent and the staff very friendly. We'll certainly book again for a short break.

The outstanding asset of the hotel is the staff, they are so enthusiastic and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble to them, they seem to have had training. We found the food to be excellent, breakfasts were enough to last the day, with a good choice of food that let you have exactly what you wanted.

The menu is varied and not overpriced, the food is tasty and well presented. The breakfasts are good, as much or little as you want. The room we had was spacious, very clean, and really quite perfect!

Upon arrival, very impressed with location, lovely setting and impressive from the outside. There are some lovely old wooden revolving doors leading into the bar area and the entrance to reception is welcoming with friendly staff from the outset.
